Sara Haag

When it comes to edgy, exciting, and eclectic comedy, look no further than Swedish director and screenwriter Sara Haag. 

Starting in the theatre before accidentally ‘falling’ into television, Sara’s career has been varied, to say the least. She’s been a TV host, producer, and format-inventor. She hosted Sweden’s number-one morning radio show, founded and ran Sweden’s biggest radio commercial company, and formed her own film production company. 

As for commercials, Sara’s work has amassed an impressive number of awards across her 25 years of experience. It’s easy to see why. Her work is always original, combining a flawless attention to detail, great comedy timing, and finely tuned performances that breathe life into every story. Whether creating work that challenges society or telling stories with broad appeal, Sara brings her unique personality to every job.

Recently, she was lead director of the comedy series “Toppen”, Amazon’s first Nordic production, and is currently developing several comedy and drama projects. She lives in a rickety old house in the countryside with two cats who think they are dogs, and eight chickens and a rooster who think they are escape artists – sounds like a classic sitcom in the making.
